Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits on VLT MainStage December 1 for two shows

Venice Little Theatre is bringing Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone to the theatre’s MainStage for two performances only on December 1, 2007. The performances are at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $50.00 and are available now at the theatre’s box office, at 941-488-1115 or online at www.venicestage.com.

The group sold over 60 million recordings; fourteen singles and seven albums went ‘gold’.

Besides continuing to tour with the ever-popular Hermits, Noone has had a stellar acting career, starring in two Hallmark Hall of Fame presentations, three successful feature films, and appearing with the New York Shakespeare Festival in Pirates of Penzance, which he then toured. For four years, Noone served as the host of VH1’s My Generation, the highest-ever-rated half hour retrospective of popular music. He also hosted the informative PBS Special The British Invasion Returns. Most recently, Noone starred in the recurring role of "Paddington" on the CBS daytime drama, As The World Turns.

This Venice Little Theatre concert is being co-sponsored by Merrill-Lynch.

The theatre’s lobby bar will be open during both performances.

The theatre is located at 140 West Tampa Avenue, on the island in Venice. Tickets are available by phone at 941-488-1115 or at the box office in person from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The box office opens one hour before all shows for walk-up tickets.
