2007 Summer Rep Series:
Venice Little Theatre presents series of staged readings in Pinkerton Theatre - opens July 10
Venice Little Theatre launches its annual Summer Repertory Series on July 10, 2007. The series consists of staged readings of four works in repertory, plus non-staged readings of two others. All the plays are under consideration for the theatre’s 2008-09 Stage II season, and audience feedback is part of the selection process. Kimbely Akimbo was a part of the summer 2006 rep series; it is being given a full production when it opens the 07-08 Stage II season November 1, 2007.
This summer’s series is as follows:

Discussion of the series and the plays, followed by a non-staged reading of
A Flea in Her Ear, a Feydeau comedy in a new translation by David Ives

Don Juan in Chicago by David Ives
July 12, 16, 20 at 8:00 p.m.
Beast on the Moon by Richard Kalinoski
July 13, 17 at 8:00 p.m., July 21 at 4:00 p.m.
Polish Joke by David Ives

A subscription to the entire series is $35.00 and a single ticket is $12.00. The July 10 and July 22 readings are open only to subscribers.
The theatre is located at 140 West Tampa Avenue, on the island in Venice. Tickets are available by phone at 941-488-1115 or at the box office in person from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturdays. The box office opens one hour before all shows for walk-up tickets. Tickets are also available 24-hours a day at the theatre’s website, www.venicestage.com.
