All of this is happens in paradise! Located on Florida's southern gulf coast one hour south of Tampa, Venice is a quaint community with a small-town feel and lots to offer for a week of culture and fun.

australia_for_webThe Lieder Theatre Company from Australia presented The Colour Play.

Combining theatre, puppetry and the circus arts, Brazil's entry was Circo Poeira.

Black Box Pangea, an independent theatre company from Denmark, presented their original production Any Body which brings together circus arts, clowning, puppet theatre and butoh.

Israel presented the original drama about life in the computer age, Second Life.

italy_for_webManer Manush from Italy shared their production "Portraits of Commedia Dell 'Arte (Little Show of Masks)".

Poland's entry was a movement-based tragedy entitled Memory and came from the group Theater Magapar.

Theatre Maneken of Russia performed William Gibson's She Who Made The Miracle (The Miracle Worker).

Singapore's Chinese Opera Institute presented the opera Painted Skin.

"Colesterol Teatro" from Spain presented their production of Fernando G. Tola’s Cómo Hacer Absolutamente Infeliz a un Hombre (How to Make a Man Absolutely Unhappy), a humorous story of an ordinary couple told through songs, dance and poetry.

Representing the United States The Players of Sarasota opened the festival with their acclaimed production of The Who's Tommy.

Due to last minute travel difficulites, Zimbabwe was unfortunately unable to attend the festival. They were replaced by American actor Tim Mooney with his one-man show, Moliere than Thou.

Venice's own Loveland Players performed for the first time in front of an international audience!
