Venice Theatre, located on the gulf coast of Florida, is accepting applications for the full time position of Costume Designer/ Shop Foreman. Applicants must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a theatrical costume designer and proven leadership skills in supervising both paid staff and volunteers.

Applicants should also demonstrate an advanced knowledge in a wide range of clothing construction methods, alterations, costume history and vocabulary. Experience working with a professional production team and the ability to juggle several projects at once are also required. Venice Theatre produces 18 shows per year – six Mainstage, four second stage, four youth theatre and four cabaret productions. Position oversees one full time staff person, large group of volunteers and occasional overhire.
