Keller's astounding transformation from a young girl who is deaf, blind and mute into a great scientist and philosopher sparks discussion about either the brilliance of the girl or the brilliance of her teacher.

In this true story about a teacher and a pupil, about the wild versus spiritual origins of human nature, each mother will see her child. Each grown up will see his or her relationship to a younger generation.
